It’s Labor Day weekend here in the States & I have a 4 day weekend.1.4.1 Bài liên quan: Living Marine Aquarium 2 Have any of y’all been to this aquarium? I’d love to hear about it in the comments! Much better than any TV show! Speaking of TV, there are webcams on the Georgia Aquarium website that you can watch all the time. I could have sat there for hours watching this. There were 3 whale sharks, tons of manta rays, a sea turtle, some small sharks, plus all the other small fish in this tank. ![]() This tank was so huge the whale sharks would disappear into the distance! Manta rays always look like they’re smiling to me…Īt the end of the tunnel was this incredible view… It was crazy to imagine that there was enough water above our heads to support all that sea life. While the whole aquarium was awesome, this was my favorite exhibit! There was an underwater tunnel you could walk through & see everything swimming around, including whale sharks! They were digging food out of the ice pile, going back into the water, & floating around eating. The otters were being fed when we came around. This one was very interested in what was happening outside the tank… There were also puffins in this area, but they were too far away to get an good pictures. Penguins! We also go to see the penguin walk, but there was so many people around that I didn’t get any good photos. The second time through, with our family friends, we finally got to see it! They are so fascinating to me! There were so many starfish in this tank & that fish was a total photo bomber! On the first go around we didn’t see the octopus that was in the tank…. This area had animals that live in a more arctic climate. They said it was awesome! Cold Water Quest Our family friends decided to stay & watch the dolphin show while we headed to the next exhibit. This is the best picture I could get because it was zooming around the tank! The dolphins were in between the freshwater exhibit & the cold water exhibit. This guy looks like he’s been in some fights… These piranhas were the creepiest fish! All of them were just hovering in the water, barely moving! This area had curved glass that came over your head & fish were laying on top of it sometimes!Īlligator snapping turtle – looks prehistoric! If you look at the bottom of the picture you can see a bubble which was in a tunnel system designed for kids. ![]() This was a fresh water exhibit & it had lots of areas for kids to explore. I don’t remember what this fish was, but I really liked the pattern on it’s back! Every time a fish came close they would all go back in their holes! These worms were very colorful, but it didn’t pick up in the photo. I loved how many of the areas had curved glass that went over your head. I believe all of these photos came out of this area of the aquarium, but I’m sure I’ve mixed some things up! I would be prepared to eat inside the aquarium because it’s really an all day trip! Now on to the photos! Tropical Diver Section There are places to buy food inside, but it’s a little pricey. You also have to go through a security check & no outside food or drink is allowed. The aquarium map is on the app, plus you can keep your tickets there. ![]() I do suggest buying tickets in advance online to avoid that line & downloading the app. They have all kinds of events, animal experiences, & even sleep overs, which I’d love to do one day! The Georgia Aquarium is located in Atlanta, Georgia & is know as one of the biggest aquariums in the western hemisphere.
